In short: this is the fastest way. It takes less than a minute, and your Blungie data is deleted right away.
-
Open Profile
Tap Profile in the bottom bar.
-
Open Account & privacy
On your profile screen, tap Account & privacy.
-
Tap Delete my account
You’ll find Delete my account in red at the bottom of the screen.
-
Type DELETE and confirm
Type DELETE in capital letters. If you signed up with email, enter your password. If you use Google, choose your Google account again when asked. Guest accounts only need to type DELETE.
The app shows these labels in the language you use it in. On a phone set to English, Blungie starts in Turkish: look for Profil → Hesap ve gizlilik → Hesabımı sil (and Verilerimi dışa aktar to export your data).
What happens next: your Blungie data is deleted right away. The app signs you out, clears this account’s data from your phone and starts a fresh guest session. If the same account is signed in on another phone, Blungie signs it out there too the next time it connects, and discards actions that weren’t sent yet. If you later sign in again with the same email or Google account, you start with an empty account.
For your security, deleting an account requires a recent sign-in, so the app asks for your password or your Google account again. If it still says you need to sign in again, confirm your password or Google account and try again straight away. If you use Blungie as a guest, don’t sign out to do this: a guest account can’t be signed back into.
If the deletion can’t finish, for example because the connection drops, the app tells you and you can try again. You won’t be locked out of an account that still has data.
If you no longer have the app or your phone, we’ll delete your account for you:
- Send an email to Blungieapp@gmail.com from the email address linked to your Blungie account, with the subject Account deletion – Blungie.
- We reply to that address to confirm that the request comes from you.
- Once you confirm, we delete your account and your Blungie data and let you know. We complete requests within 30 days of receiving them, usually much sooner.

- Account deletion – Blungie
Hello, please delete my Blungie account and all of its data. I am writing from the email address linked to my account.
Please send it from the email address linked to your account.
Using Blungie as a guest? Guest accounts have no email address, so we can’t find them from an email request. Please delete a guest account in the app; in the last step, typing DELETE is enough.
Deletion can’t be undone. If you’d like to keep a copy of your data, first go to Profile → Account & privacy → Export my data. The app saves a JSON file with your profile, progress, collections and activity wherever you choose.
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Profile and settings (name, language, level, interests, daily goal, reminders) | Deleted immediately |
| Learning progress, review history and daily activity; saved, hidden and paused words | Deleted immediately |
| Your collections | Deleted immediately Links you shared earlier still show their words, because that information is part of the link itself. |
| Problem reports you sent | Deleted immediately |
| Your sign-in (email or Google link) | Deleted immediately If you also use the same sign-in in another app of ours that runs on the same infrastructure, the sign-in itself stays so that app keeps working, but all of your Blungie data is still deleted. |
| Data on this phone | Cleared on sign-out The app clears this account’s data when it signs you out. To remove everything else, such as cached pictures, uninstall the app. |
| Deletion record (user ID and time of deletion) | Kept Currently with no fixed end date, so deleted data can’t sync back from another device that was still signed in or offline. It contains nothing else: no name, email address or learning data. |
| Server logs that may contain your user ID | Deleted automatically After 30 days. |
| Files you exported, links you shared | Stay with you They stay wherever you saved or sent them. We have no access to them. |
Requests by email remove the same data and are completed within 30 days of receiving them.
If you don’t want to delete your whole account:
- Remove a word from learning: on the word’s card or details page, tap Remove from learning. The word stops coming back in your reviews.
- Hide a word: on the word’s details page, tap Hide in feed so it no longer appears in your feed.
- Delete a collection: in My Words, switch to Collections, open the collection and choose Delete collection. The words in it stay in My Words.
- Change your settings: you can change your language, level, daily goal and reminders in Settings.
- Erase something specific: for example a problem report you sent or the history of a word. Email us and tell us what you’d like deleted.
Removing or hiding a word changes how it is used. The word’s history stays in your account until you delete it.

- Account deletion – English Ecosystem
Hello, please delete my English Ecosystem account and all of its data. I am writing from the email address linked to my account. My username in the app is:
Please send it from the email address linked to your account.
What is deleted
Your sign-in, profile (username, display name, language preferences and English level), learning progress, vocabulary history and game statistics, saved words and audio history, Smart Review history, friend connections, tournament history and leaderboard entries, and the link between crash reports and your account.
What we keep
Billing records for Blungie Pro, for up to 7 years where tax or commercial law requires it; anonymous crash records that are no longer linked to you, which Crashlytics deletes automatically after 90 days; and aggregated statistics that can no longer identify you.
Cancel Blungie Pro separately. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a Google Play subscription. First open the Play Store, tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, and cancel Blungie Pro there.
The free version of English Ecosystem may show ads from Google AdMob. Google handles ad data under its own privacy policy, so it isn’t deleted together with your account. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.
